Your Las Vegas Hvac Contractor Helps Keep the House Cool

If you have a house of your own and it has "central air" or a "home comfort system", you are going to need the services of a professional Las Vegas Hvac Contractor. HVAC is an acronym that stands for "heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning". It is alternately referred to as "climate control". Heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning improve the quality of indoor air, provide temperature control, and control the flow of air throughout your home. Whenever there is an issue with your home's indoor air - whether it is too hot, too cold, or too stuffy, your Las Vegas Hvac Contractor can help.

The way a Las Vegas Hvac Contractor controls your home's air flow is quite simple. A series of air ducts are installed throughout the building, delivering a continuous supply of fresh air as long as the HVAC system is turned on. This air may be warmed (for example, by a furnace) or cooled (by an air conditioner or outdoor cooling unit), or it may be the air within your home being filtered and recycled to prevent rooms from getting stuffy. Your Las Vegas Hvac Contractor will determine what size HVAC system you need, and install all of the necessary equipment.

While most people understand the meaning and purpose of home heating & cooling, the modern need for effective ventilation is grossly misunderstood. Have you ever considered the fact that everyone who enters your home is immediately exposed to all the smells, smoke, dust, moisture, and airborne bacteria inside your home? By installing a system that removes pollutants from the air inside your home, a professional Las Vegas Hvac Contractor can help to circulate the air within. Adequate ventilation can prevent disease, improve the quality of indoor air, and keep your house smelling fresh. There are different types of mechanical and forced-air ventilating systems, which the Las Vegas Hvac Contractor can tell you about, and help you choose one that exactly fits your needs.

Home Climate Control and your Las Vegas Hvac Contractor

Determining the size of the system your home needs is an important first step before you buy. An experienced Las Vegas Hvac Contractor uses many different factors to decide what is best. The size and type of your home, walls, and windows, the availability or lack of insulation, the condition of your basement and attic, the orientation of your home, are some of the factors that can influence his decision. The Las Vegas Hvac Contractor may also use a computerized system to calculate each room's heating and cooling needs, to further fine-tune their recommendations.

This might not make a lot of sense to you. You might think a Las Vegas Hvac Contractor should be motivated to sell you the largest, most expensive, most impressive HVAC system available. In fact, this wouldn't help your Las Vegas Hvac Contractor out at all! A system that is too large for a home will work fast, but might not remove enough moisture from the air as it works. As a result, the air that’s supposed to cool you will make you feel sticky and humid. This could lead to potential mold problem or the generation of harmful bacteria inside your home!

A system that is too large will be forced to turn itself on and off more quickly. This is called "short-cycling", and it will cause your system to break down quicker, as well as placing a hefty increase on your heating and cooling bills. Likewise, a system that's too small will run itself down very quickly, simply because it can't heat or cool the entire space - it would be running constantly in an effort to do so. So, if the Las Vegas Hvac Contractor did try to sell you "the biggest and the best", they would only be complicating your life and theirs with needless service calls. Since a professional Las Vegas Hvac Contractor relies largely on word-of-mouth for their jobs, treating each customer right and getting them the best system possible is their goal.

When You Need a Las Vegas Hvac Contractor

You should contact a qualified Las Vegas Hvac Contractor any time your heating, cooling, or ventilation system is not working as desired, but in particular, there are several times when you need service ASAP. If there are days of extreme temperatures and your heat or cooling stops functioning, it could lead to a health hazard. Rather than risk the health of your family, call your Las Vegas Hvac Contractor and correct the problem at the source first.

If you have an outdoor heat pump, you should make a habit of checking on it during the winter months to ensure it isn't being negatively affected by the weather. Excessive ice or snow build-up can cause the pump to stop working or even freeze solid. Your Las Vegas Hvac Contractor can keep it clean and functional, and come out to check on it whenever you need. Regular checks can make the difference between a minor repair and a complete replacement.

Your ventilation system can be serviced by the Las Vegas Hvac Contractor who installed it. Over time, bacteria, dust, and fungus can collect in your home's ductwork, aggravating asthma and allergies, and potentially making others ill. When the ducts are used, dust from inside will be blown out into the home, which increases your workload when you clean house. Finally, regular duct cleanings by a knowledgeable Las Vegas Hvac Contractor helps your entire home heating & cooling system run smoother, lowering your bills and extending the equipment's lifespan.

The Benefits of Regular Service from Your Las Vegas Hvac Contractor

Your Las Vegas Hvac Contractor will be happy to prepare your system to run at its best when you need it most.

"They were honest. They came out in the morning and fixed one thing because they thought that was the problem, but it wasn't so they came back that night with no service call for the callback to fix what was broken that time. They gave me a credit equal to the first bill for that time. It was $80 for the morning one and they deducted $80 for the evening appointment. One of the two owners worked on it that evening. The motor was the part that went bad. They showed up when they said and took care of the problem. The lady that answered the phone knew her stuff too. I had called them another time and they were ready to come out when I needed them. I never expected them to deduct the $80 off the bill. The unit is still working and I have no problems with them what-so-ever."

"Came home from a vacation to 108 degree heat and noticed that outside fan motor on air conditioner was always running, but thankfully was still cooling house appropriately. I was able to stop fan from running by throwing circuit breaker. The next morning I searched Angie's list for an air conditioner company and after reading about 20 reviews chose Sun Country. Called them around noon and described problem, and said that it was not an emergency because I knew how to stop fan from running. I was told that a repairman would be at the house around six or seven in the evening that day. When I repeated that it was still cooling ok and I could wait until the next day, I was shocked when I was told their servicemen work into the night to try to service every call they get. I was shocked because the firm I called seven years ago when I needed air conditioner service took two days to come look at my air conditioner and four days to fix it. A Sun Country repairman showed up a little after six and had everything repaired in approximately one hour. Incredible service compared to my previous experiences. Will definitely call again for any heating or cooling needs."

"My A/C went out in the middle of the night. Decided to wait until morning to call for service. At 6:30am, called and spoke to Cheryl, who was very polite and understanding. She dispatched Jose to my house almost immediately, and he arrived before 7:30am. He was very professional and seemed honest and explained everything clearly to me. The motor I needed was out of stock, but Sun Country did a great job of hooking up a "rescue unit" so that I could still get A/C until the part I needed came in the following week. I was very happy about this and with some places, I may have just been out of luck. The condenser unit was under warranty, so I only ended up having to pay for labor to install the unit. Overall, outstanding service from this company. I would highly recommend it to others and will use them in the future as the need arises."
